Paulo Gaspar is Partner at Deloitte in Portugal within the Tax Division. He started his career in the Audit & Finance Consulting Department and joined the Tax Department in 1997. For more than 20 years in Tax, he has been working with the top management of several national and international groups, having developed a deep knowledge of the different sectors. As a tax consultant, he has helped clients of all sizes in various sectors of activity. He has extensive experience, not only in consulting and tax planning strategies, namely in structuring investments and monitoring client’s internationalization, but also in overseeing tax due diligence works and tax structuring of mergers and acquisitions. Paulo is the author of several tax articles published in the press and prestigious specialized magazines. Luís Pinho Costa is currently Clinical Lead at Tonic App, a digital health company that provides medical doctors in Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, and soon the United Kingdom, with a 360º platform equipped with a virtual assistant based on generative artificial intelligence. He obtained a Master's degree in Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine of Porto in 2011 and specialized in Family Medicine in 2017. In 2022, he completed a doctoral course in Health Data Science, with a specialization in Intelligent Health Data Analysis, at the Faculty of Medicine of Porto. Previously, he worked as a medical professional in the Portuguese National Health System for eight and a half years, served as a collaborator at the Department of Interns and Young Family Doctors of the Portuguese Association of Family Medicine, and was an elected member of the Executive Board of the European Young Family Doctors Movement. He chaired the scientific committee for the fifth conference of the European Young Family Doctors Movement. He is the author of ten articles in scientific journals and co-author of two book chapters on the use of digital technologies in primary healthcare. He was a co-founder of a global digital network of Family Doctors and an international peer-to-peer discussion group based on the Balint methodology. He was also a member of a working group for the creation of a Network of Sentinel Units within the National Association of Family Health Units (USF-AN).

I hold a degree in Economics from the Faculty of Economics of Porto. I also graduated as a Master in Finance and started my PhD in Management in this Faculty. I successfully completed additional training at AESE (Executive Development Programme), at the Faculty of Engineering of Porto (Circular Economy) and at the Florence School of Regulation (Summer School on Economic foundations of energy and climate policies). I entered the job market at the Agency for Investment and Foreign Trade of Portugal (AICEP), after two short internships (Bank of Portugal and University of Minho) and joined EDP Produção in 2009 where I remain to this day. Here I have grown as a professional and participant in the energy market. I currently work as deputy director in the Regulation Department and have direct responsibilities in Economic Planning and Investment Assessment.

Daniela Seixas is a neuroradiologist passionate about technology. She worked in the pharmaceutical industry early in her career and defended her doctoral thesis in Neuroscience in collaboration with the University of Oxford in 2012. She is an affiliated professor at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Porto. In 2015, she completed an Executive MBA at IE Business School in Madrid (Entrepreneurship). From 2013 to 2018, she served as an independent expert for the European Commission (Directorate-General for Research and Innovation). In 2016, she co-founded Tonic App, a digital health startup, and currently serves as its CEO.

António Redondo has a B.Sc. degree in Chemical Engineering from the FCT of the University of Coimbra, and attended the Business Management degree and has an MBA with a specialization in Marketing from UCP. Joaquim Oliveira Martins is Special Advisor of the EU Commissioner for Cohesion and Reforms and Counsellor at the Center for Prospective Studies and International Information (CEPII, Paris). He was previously Deputy-Director of the OECD Centre for Entrepreneurship, SMEs, Regions and Cities focusing on Entrepreneurship & SMEs policies; Regional, Rural and Urban policies, and Head of the OECD Regional Development Policy Division. He supervised projects on Regional and Urban economics, Governance, regional statistics and Well-being. He was also Head of the OECD Structural Economic Statistics Division, where he focused on Trade & Globalisation studies, Productivity measurement and Business statistics. He authored many academic articles and coordinated several OECD projects, namely on Policy Response to the Threat of Global Warming, Competition, Regulation and Performance, Ageing & Growth, Investment in Tertiary Education, and Public Health Expenditure Projections. He coordinated the first OECD Economic Surveys of Brazil, Chile and several transition countries. He was Associate Professor at the University of Paris-Dauphine PSL, and holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Paris-I, Panthéon-Sorbonne. He is Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences (FAcSS, UK).
