Paulo Gaspar

Paulo Gaspar is Partner at Deloitte in Portugal within the Tax Division. He started his career in the Audit & Finance Consulting Department and joined the Tax Department in 1997. For more than 20 years in Tax, he has been working with the top management of several national and international groups, having developed a deep knowledge of the different sectors. As a tax consultant, he has helped clients of all sizes in various sectors of activity. He has extensive experience, not only in consulting and tax planning strategies, namely in structuring investments and monitoring client’s internationalization, but also in overseeing tax due diligence works and tax structuring of mergers and acquisitions. Paulo is the author of several tax articles published in the press and prestigious specialized magazines. He frequently participates as a speaker in seminars and conferences in the tax area, either in Portugal or abroad. He is often invited to teach taxation courses in some of the most prestigious Universities in Portugal, such as Faculdade de Direito da Universidade do Porto, Católica Porto Business School or Faculdade de Economia do Porto.
