Professional experience
Since, 2013 he is the Head of Division of the “Costs and Revenues” at ERSE*.
As responsible for this division, he has as main functions to define the yearly revenues to be recovered through the regulated companies from the electric and natural gas sectors through the ERSE’s tariffs and the economic parameters for the regulatory period. As ERSE’s representative, he is an active member of the CEER’s DS Working Group.
Research interests
Specialized in economic regulation both because of his professional activity and because several researches developed and published.
Recently, he developed decision models applied to the regulatory environment and to the innovation in the energy sector. The theme of smart grids is one of the main topics of these studies.
* After a stint in banking sector as an intern, he began his career, also as an intern at ERSE (the Portuguese Energy Regulatory Authority) in 1997.
