Raquel Duarte

She is Professor in the Medical School and in the Institute of Public Health of Porto University, Portugal and head of the Infectious Diseases Research Group at Institute of Public Health, Porto.

In terms of international appointments, she was the Secretary General and now Vice-President of the “Europe Region Officers International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease”, member of the Disease Network Coordination Committee of the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), chair of the tuberculosis group of the European Respiratory Society and now elected secretary of the Assembly 10, Respiratory Infections.

She was called as advisor to help the organization of the regional response to the COVID-19 pandemic in the North region of Portugal.
