Faculty member (on leave) at the School of Economics and Management of the University of Porto and Researcher at the Centre for Research in Economics and Finance (cef.up). 

Graduate in Economics at the University of Porto, MBA from Instituto Superior de Estudos Empresariais (now Porto Business School) and PhD in Finance (Financial Economics) from London Business School.

Previously Member of the Board of Auditors of Banco de Portugal (2014-2017);  Member of the Advisory Board of the Portuguese Treasury and Government Debt Agency (IGCP) (2015-2017); Member of the Board of Auditors of Banco Português de Investimento (2012-2014); Financial Analyst, Asset Manager and Management Control Technical Advisor at Banco Português de Investimento (1988-1993).

Vice-Dean (2015-2017) at the School of Economics and Management of the University of Porto; Taught BSc., MSc and PhD programmes at the School of Economics and Management of the University of Porto (1987-2017); Programme Director of the MSc. in Finance (2005-2007), of the MSc. in Management Sciences (2004-2010).

Vice-Dean and Director of Executive Education at Porto Business School (2009-2015); Taught MBA, Post-Graduate and Executive Education programmes (2000-2017); Director of the Post-Graduate Programme in Financial Analysis (2003-2017) and of the Post-Graduate Programme in Real Estate Management (2003-2017).

Published various works in her areas of expertise.
